Information Literacy Toolsets

The Public Learning Media Laboratory produces free, easy to access and use tools that support teaching and learning of critical elementary and middle school skills. The following tools represent our Information Literacy products:

Boolify makes it easier for students to understand their web search by illustrating the logic of their search, and by showing them how each change to their search instantly changes their results.

All Sides of a Search at Boolify

All Sides at Boolify is a tool (in development) that provides comparison searches. Comparison searches are intended to help researches more easily access differing opinions. Initially, All Sides will provide comparison results between extremes, such as "good" and "bad". We're seeking your feedback about what additional functionality you seek for future versions.

DiscoverWho at Boolify

DiscoverWho is a tool (in development) that provides additional information about a website or domain. Building on publicly-available information, Tell Me More helps you learn about the creators of their site, and explore potential biases that may be present in their content of their construction.
